INFANT TODDLER PLAYGROUP ORIENTATION & SF STUDIO HABITS
Welcome! Thank you for participating in our Infant Toddler Playgroups. Here are a few important studio habits we would like to share with you.
Our infant-toddler classes are inclusive, playful, and lightly-structured. Children are accompanied by parents and caregivers who participate in group activities, guide and supervise their little one during class. During multicultural language playgroups, please be mindful of the noise level and use a whisper voice during class time to help the group hear the teacher speaking.
Our classes start and end on time. Instruction is 50 minutes, with 10 minutes for clean up, put shoes on and say goodbyes. Our studio assistants are cleaning and setting up before and after classes to provide our little crawlers and toddlers with a safe space to play and learn. We are a child adolescent psychology clinic and we are serving clients at all other times. Please help to respect client privacy and flow. We do not have a waiting room. If you arrive earlier than anticipated, please wait outside or explore our neighborhood. There are many cafes as well as outdoor playgrounds within a couple of blocks of our studio.
At the start of each class, please say hello and sign in with our Studio Assistant. Let us know your child(ren)’s full name(s) and if you have a class card on file or if this is your first visit.
We are a shoe-free studio. Safety and hygiene is a top priority at Seesaw. We wash and sanitize our toys and instruments regularly. Please wash your little one’s hands and place orally-explored toys in the bus bin to be washed. We have a changing table in our restroom. Please help yourself to tea or water. Keep hot drinks out of reach for children. Please no outside food or drinks are permitted in the studio.
We are located at 600-A Octavia Street, between Grove and Fulton. Please look for the friendly crocodile on the wall outside. Free 2-hour street parking is available nearby and in front of the studio. Please read the signs for street cleaning. There is also a reasonably priced garage parking at the corner of Gough and Grove streets. We provide locks for stroller lock up outside our front door. We have limited space and do not allow strollers inside.
Have a wonderful time and thank you for your support!
