Isabella Ahrens, M.A

Isabella Ahrens is a Ph.D student in the school psychology doctoral program at UC Berkeley. Isabella earned her B.A. in Medicine, Health, Society and Anthropology at Vanderbilt University, a Secondary Education Teaching Certificate from Johns Hopkins University School of Education, and her M.A. in Education from UC Berkeley. 

Isabella has worked in east bay public schools and she was an instructor for two summers at UC Berkeley’s Academic Talent Development Program. Isabella was a high school science teacher in Hawai`i. Isabella’s practicum training has included teaching, multidisciplinary team support, and psycho-educational assessment in the schools and neurodevelopmental assessment for children and adolescents at the UC Berkeley Schwab Dyslexia and Cognitive Diversity Center. Her research interests include parent involvement, sports psychology, and mindfulness. Isabella’s stomping grounds are Honolulu, New York, and Berkeley. 

Isabella is a doctoral trainee attaining her licensure hours. She provides therapy, evaluation, and consultation services for families. She joined our team at Seesaw in the summer of 2021. Her clinical supervisor is Sabrina Gabel, Ph.D. and her university program supervisor is Kate Perry, Ph.D.
