Jada Carter, M.S
Jada is currently pursuing her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of San Francisco. She earned her B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from the University of California, Merced and an M.S. in Clinical Psychology from the University of San Francisco.
Jada is the president of the Students of Color Group at USF. She has worked as a Graduate Teacher’s Assistant for Intellectual Assessment and Crisis Counseling in Urban and Multicultural Contexts.
Jada’s training experiences include collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, providing ABA therapy with children on the autism spectrum, and pediatric psychology training at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland. She has also trained in community mental health settings with foster care youth and asylum seeking families. She has special interests in mood, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, and multicultural families. Her research has focused on CBT and trauma-informed interventions with African-American youth.
Jada joined our team in the Fall of 2020. She works with us as a Doctoral Practicum Trainee assisting with evaluation, therapy, social emotional classes, and quality improvement. Her Clinical Supervisor is Sabrina Gabel, Ph.D.
