April Moyer, Ph.D.
April is a licensed psychologist who specializes in supporting youth and families experiencing anxiety, ADHD, school challenges, autism spectrum, and depression. She earned her B.S. in psychology from Iowa State University and M.A. in developmental psychology from San Francisco State University. She completed her doctoral training in clinical psychology at Clark University in Worcester, MA. Her research and publications focused on LGBTQ parents, adoptive families, and the well-being of youth in foster care.
She completed her predoctoral internship at the UCSF department of psychiatry Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital in the Child and Adolescent Services (CAS) Multicultural Clinical Training program. While there, her primary rotation was with the Child Trauma Research Program (CTRP). Her postdoctoral fellowship was at Seesaw Psychology Group.
April has lived on both coasts and grew up in the midwest. She is the proud mother of two teenage sons and she enjoys spending time with her family kayaking, camping, and watching Bay Area sports teams. April returned to Seesaw in the fall of 2024. She provides evaluation and therapy support services in our San Francisco and Burlingame clinics.
