College Clinic Practicum
We offer a Clinic Practicum designed for highly motivated undergraduate students who are studying psychology at university and in the process of applying to graduate school.
Practicum students work for Nurture (non-profit branch) and Seesaw in our clinic studios located in San Francisco and Burlingame.
Students are required to work 5-10 hours per week for 12 months. Our practicum students engage in a variety of activities and support and work with our clinic team. Students will learn about service delivery and operations in a private outpatient psychology clinic. Students may observe and assist our team of psychologists and therapists during group therapy sessions. Students may attend didactics and group supervision meetings. Students help with marketing and community outreach projects for Nurture and Seesaw.
Practicum Student Requirements:
- Only highly motivated students who can commit to one year and pursuing graduate training in psychology or pediatric nursing or medical school may apply.
- Must be familiar with Mac and apps.
- Passionate about child adolescent and family psychology.
- At least 2 years experience working with children (e.g., tutoring, camp counseling, caregiving, research).
- Excellent communicator with strengths in social emotional and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic. Flexible and adaptable. Open to feedback.
